The Outreach Community Center is always interested in expanding its services to the community. So raising funds is remains high on the list of priorities. One of the plans on the drawing board include purchasing (or acquiring) a larger facility to expand office space to accomodate conferences and an indoor thrift store. Outreach Community Center will present its 28th Annual Banquet on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Friends of the Center will join in a 3 hour celebration of OCC's work with some of Rochester's notables and dignitaries. The event will be both informational and spiritually uplifting. Tickets are $50.00 each and avilable starting October 11. Call 585 328-0887 to purchase your ticket or to reserve a table of ten. The Radisson Hotel at 175 Jefferson Rd. will host the festivities.
The Center's young people received knitted woolly caps and gloves for Christmas. SNAP Foundation a national nonprofit prevention organization that uses photography to get children involved in researching, reading and writing about their lives, donated them to the Center. Read more
The Outreach Community Center's primary mission is to halt the vicious cycle of abuse that is drug and alcohol addiction. In addition we highly value the family unit and take steps to strengthen and nurture the family relationships of our participants.
The vehicle employed is individual and group counseling for substance abusers and their
families. To best assist them we may also need to provide emergency housing, food, clothing
and referrals to the appropriate agencies.
